Board of Directors
Hollis Montessori School is 501(c)(3) non-profit institution governed by a Board of Directors which provides oversight for the school.
The volunteer Board is responsible for ensuring that the mission of Hollis Montessori is carried out and it has fiduciary responsibility for the school. Board members actively lead long-term and strategic planning efforts, and engage in fund raising and community-building initiatives.
The Board of Directors employs the Head of School, who is responsible for executing the policies established by the Board, hiring faculty and staff, and managing the daily operations of the school.
Board members are nominated and elected for three-year terms.
Frank Grossman - President
Frank was Co-Founder (with Jim Moskun), President and Chief Technology Officer of Mindreef, Inc from its founding in 2001 until it was purchased by Progress Software (NASDAQ:PRGS) in 2008. Frank was also a Co-Founder (with Jim Moskun) of NuMega Technologies, Inc. where he was Chief Technical Officer from its founding in 1987 until until its sale to Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR) in 1998. Frank served on the board of Beaver Brook Association from 2000 - 2009 and as President of the board from 2002 - 2009. Beaver Brook is an association with 2000 acres of land with a mission to promote the understanding of interrelationships in the natural world and to encourage conservation of natural resources through education and land stewardship. Frank holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Bowling Green University.
Erin Moskun - Vice President
Erin became involved in Montessori through her children, who have attended Montessori schools starting at age 3. When her eldest child reached Montessori’s upper elementary level, she teamed with Camille Campbell and former board member Rhonda Burns to create the Hollis Montessori School. Prior to starting Hollis Montessori School she volunteered in her children's Montessori Schools. Erin has two children at Hollis Montessori. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from the University of New Hampshire and has worked as a nutritional counselor. She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist. In her free time Erin is an avid runner (completed 10 marathons), a lifelong swimmer and is passionate about Power Yoga.
John Longan - Secretary
John discovered the Montessori method of education while searching for alternatives after his daughter's zeal for learning began to wane when she was in the second grade. Being an engineer, the self directed, hands-on approach to understanding resonated with him. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He has been involved in product design and engineering for 20 years and is currently a Program Manager with Farm Design in Hollis. John enjoys being outdoors and exploring the world both near and far with his family. His oldest daughter attended Hollis Montessori School through the Adolescent Program and is now a sophomore in high school and his younger daughter is in the Upper Elementary.
David Tully - Treasurer
David joined the HMS Board of Directors in 2012 and is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Bentley College and he is principal at David E. Tully & Associates in Nashua, NH. David serves on many boards, including Beaver Brook Association, the Dunstable Rural Land Trust, the Dunstable Civic Trust, and the Greater Lowell Technical High School Charitable Foundation. David lives in Massachusetts with his wife. He has five children and eleven grandchildren.
Marla discovered Montessori education when her youngest child attended Montessori as a young child. She joined the HMS Board of Directors in 2012. Marla holds a B.A. in Biology and Education from Lake Forest College and a Masters Degree in Environmental Science Education from Plymouth State University. She currently teaches high school Biology and Oceanography. She has also taught the Advanced Studies Marine Biology program since 1995 at St. Paul's School in Concord. Marla lives in New Hampshire with her husband who is a high school English teacher.
Gerri joined the HMS Board of Directors in 2014. She enrolled her daughter at Hollis Montessori in 2008 and became an immediate fan of the school. Gerri has a passion for child advocacy and has served Court Appointed Child Advocates of New Hampshire for 20 years. She became a Guardian ad Litem in the Family Court and advocated for abused and neglected children. Most recently Gerri served as Chairman of the Board of the state-wide non-profit organization and continues to develop communications and fund-raising efforts. She has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA and has spent almost 30 years working in Product Management, Sales, and Business Development at technology companies. Gerri lives in New Hampshire.

Jim holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Jim has two children at Hollis Montessori.
Mary joined the board in 2016 after learning about Hollis Montessori School from other board members. Mary began her career in computer systems programming and then progressed to manufacturing operations. She has held many senior management positions including COO and V.P. of Manufacturing Operations in high technology companies over the past 30 years. She serves on the advisory board for Segs4Vets an organization that provides Personal Transporters to wounded veterans. She is recently retired and looking forward to giving back to the community by donating her time to youth activities. Mary lives in New Hampshire with her husband and has two grown daughters.
Eitan joined the HMS Board of Directors in 2012. He has over 25 years experience in industry developing and managing new technology introductions to the market place. Eitan is currently president of his Temple where he has developed a long-range capital plan and a strategic plan. Eitan enjoys teaching and has taught evening courses in physics and material science at New Hampshire Technical College, and has given numerous tutorials and lectures at universities on solar technology and design. Eitan lives in New Hampshire with his wife.
