Lower Elementary Classroom Assistant
Hollis Montessori is seeking an Lower Elementary classroom assistant to begin mid-November 2024. The Lower Elementary serves children ages 6-9 years of age in a mixed age classroom. The elementary assistant supports the Lead Guide, who is trained in Montessori elementary education. Primary job responsibilities include supporting the Lead Guide and the children, supervising lunch and outdoor play, maintaining a beautiful and tidy classroom environment, as well as other duties to be determined by the Lead Guide. We are seeking an individual who is flexible, able to work collaboratively with other staff members, eager to learn about and practice Montessori educational principles, and possesses a deep love and respect for children. This position is full time for 10 months (37.5 hours/week) with the exception of holidays, and school and summer vacations. Hollis Montessori follows a school year schedule.
