Learn About Education at Hollis Montessori School

One campus, one continuous approach: authentic Montessori across nine acres, from age three to fifteen.

Many families arrive knowing the word "Montessori" and little else about the pedagogy. Join us to discover what Montessori education looks like at HMS, where a continuous approach to learning supports students from primary through adolescense. HMS staff will be on hand to answer questions and help you explore the classrooms.

Experience The Classrooms

Natural artwork, wood furniture, and Montessori learning materials fill rooms built for children to work on their own. At the open house, families can see the classrooms and learn how each child grows here at their own pace.

Meet The Faculty

Our open house offers the opportunity to meet and converse with our faculty members. Trained to the AMI standard Dr. Montessori herself set, the faculty at Hollis Montessori are energetic, optimistic, talented, and want to make a difference. They are passionate about helping parents understand what makes Montessori different.

Walk the School Grounds

After visiting our classrooms, take some time to explore the gardens and outdoor workspace. Surrounded by 400 acres of conservation land, the property features a working apple orchard (replanted by the students themselves), beehives, chickens, and play structures designed to promote large muscle movement.

Junior High Information Session
Discover the Difference

Grades 7—9
Sunday, November 8, 1:30 pm

Our Junior High students are involved in real-life experiences through challenging and fulfilling work within our school and local community. From keeping bees and chickens, to running their own small business, real life happens here.

The combination of a small community and seminar-style learning allows for genuine, trusting connections to develop between students and their teachers. It's common to see our teachers playing alongside students during recess or to hear a student call an adult by their first name. These close relationships allow our teachers to offer emotional support as students navigate the early stages of adolescence.

Interested families are invited to see how it all works! Join us at 1:30 pm for a detailed presentation and Q&A, followed by refreshments and informal tours. Bring your questions!
